Job Title: Banquet Manager

LAZ Parking is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at our luxury hotel in West Hollywood, CA. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial, operational, safety, and service-related success of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the activities of Shift Leads, Captains, and frontline staff to ensure exceptional customer service and maximize revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, control expenses, and maintain high levels of safety and service thresholds.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to achieve hotel goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards and policies in all aspects of meeting space functions.
  • Implement and maintain a service and management philosophy that guides staff to deliver 100% guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Business Management or Hospitality preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Banquet Manager in a luxury hotel required.
  • Knowledge of specific meeting room set-up styles and staffing guidelines for various sized events.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Ability to read and comprehend P&L's and maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to input and access information in computers/point of sales system.
  • Previous guest relations training and experience working with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold).
  • Ability to work under variable noise levels and lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
