Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet House Attendant to join our team at Langham Hotels International Limited. As a key member of our hospitality services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquet events, from setup to breakdown.

Key Responsibilities
  • Break down banquet rooms from previous events, including the removal of equipment, furniture, and decorations.
  • Clean and prepare banquet rooms for upcoming events, including vacuuming, dusting, and checking for cleanliness.
  • Set up banquet rooms according to specifications, including placing tables, chairs, and other equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storerooms and other areas.
  • Assist service staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Understand and operate hotel systems and other electrical components.
  • Control noise levels during room setup and other activities.
  • Translate written specifications and diagrams to ensure proper placement of tables, stages, and other props.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including tables, chairs, and equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk or stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment and setup styles used in meeting rooms.
  • Ability to understand verbal English and read and write English to read Banquet Event Orders and instructions.
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing a minimum of 125 Lbs.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
  • CPR Certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift for room setup and breakdown. The ability to work night and overnights, including weekends and holidays, is also required.
