Program Quality Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Quality Lead to join our team at RTX Corporation. As a key member of our Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) team, you will be responsible for leading our program's proactive quality risk mitigation efforts, partnering with Program Leadership, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Operations, and the Quality team to drive quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement proactive quality strategies to reduce overall product lifecycle cost and risk, improve customer deliverable products/critical processes/systems, and manage customer relationships.
- Lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and ensure extensive RCCA.
- Support issue resolutions and solutions to production.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, IPTs, customers, and support functions to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies.
- Generate new Cost of Quality (CoQ), CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs on the program.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145: utilizing resources such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Key Characteristics, Design Failure Modes, and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and/or Control Plans.
- Experience leading teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings/data packages.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification and/or Program Management Certification.
- Experience with Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or another Continuous Improvement Program.
- Passionate, high-energy, self-starting team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
- Experience Reviewing Statement of Work (SOW), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), Knowledge of Purchase Order Quality Requirements (Q-Notes, STAMP).
- Experience presenting, reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB).
- Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification.
- Ability to comprehend and translate system requirements as well as contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.
- Able to facilitate cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing).
- Proficiency with Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP.
- Knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow and compliance.

The salary range for this role is $118,000 - $246,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
