Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Program Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. This role will be responsible for promoting and executing a strong quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Become the Quality Point of Contact (POC) for the Stinger launcher programs, interfacing across programs, key suppliers, and customers to support technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Interpret command media in compliance with work being performed.
  • Monitor and lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Responsible for improving processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills.
  • Generation of new Cost of Quality (CoQ), CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • Support issue resolutions and solutions to production.
  • Support program efforts in development, transition to production, production, and sustainment.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience leading teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings/data packages.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification and/or Program Management Certification.
  • Experience with Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or another Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and utilizing resources such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Key Characteristics, Design Failure Modes, and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and/or Control Plans.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102.
  • Passionate, high-energy, self-starting team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Experience Reviewing Statement of Work (SOW), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), Knowledge of Purchase Order Quality Requirements (Q-Notes, STAMP).
  • Experience presenting, reviewing, and/or approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Ability to comprehend and translate system requirements as well as contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.
  • Able to facilitate cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing).
  • Proficiency with Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow and compliance.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.
