The Procurement Specialist - Beverage Industry is responsible for developing and executing strategies that lead to inventory optimization and cost savings to achieve the company's sales, profitability, and inventory turnover objectives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Service teams to develop and implement supply chain solutions
  • Manage inventory and forecast demand to ensure the right inventory at the right time at the right price to meet customer demand
  • Own the inventory management process, including delivery management, quality management, supplier compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Review and analyze sales trends and use accurate market information to prepare demand forecasts
  • Maintain strong working relationships and communication with manufacturers and key suppliers
  • Review purchase order requisitions and release purchase orders to suppliers
  • Manage low stock levels to avoid stock-outs
  • Responsible for inventory management at off-site locations and with sub-contract vendors
  • Understand external market conditions and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage slow moving inventory to reduce and avoid excess and obsolete inventory
  • Coordinates and resolves supplier nonconforming issues
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement projects and initiatives within the materials planning function
  • Evaluate forecast results, reconcile significant variances, and refine forecast model
  • Collaborate with Product Management and provide input in developing product strategies

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum 3-5 years buying/planning experience with a relevant industry
  • Global buying experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, decision-making, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience in suite of Microsoft Office programs; SAP experience preferred
  • College degree strongly preferred
  • Strong work ethic with track record of exceeding targets
  • Experience in presenting to and interacting with senior management both internally and externally
