HR Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team at Automation and Control Strategies Group, INC. dba ACS Professional. As an HR Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees and applicants, answering frequently asked questions and referring complex inquiries to senior-level HR staff or management
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Assist with new hire orientation, post-offer background checks, and drug screens
  • Complete I-9 documentation, E-Verify employees, and maintain current and past documentation in compliance with I-9 requirements
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors
  • Ensure employees can access and know how to use the employee portal
  • Assist with payroll functions, including answering employee questions and checking payroll
  • Support the planning and execution of special events, such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events
Requirements:
  • Proven record of success in developing recruiting strategies and delivering suitable job candidates for assigned positions
  • Experience with building relationships with candidates for temporary/contract roles through the delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a team player attitude
