Job Description:

This role involves supporting Producers with new business/renewals and delivering exceptional client support as a member of the Group Benefits team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather information on new and existing accounts and submit it to carriers or techs for proposals.
  • Review carrier proposals, advise the Producer, and prepare formal proposal presentations.
  • Present to clients when the Producer is unavailable.
  • Manage workflow between internal staff, clients, and insurance carriers.
  • Implement coverage changes as requested by customers.
  • Ensure a smooth transition between insurance carriers.
  • Conduct monthly service calls on all accounts and report on them.
  • Update account information in the management system for carrier changes or renewals.
  • Stay informed about carrier developments and relevant laws, sharing updates with clients and team members.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers to meet client needs and streamline business processing.
  • Handle or refer client requests as needed.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Life and Health license required.
  • Familiarity with insurance products, rating procedures, coverage, and industry operations.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills needed: word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Experience with Epic agency management system is a plus.
