The Medical Imaging Specialist plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. This position requires a strong understanding of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
- Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
- Assist licensed practitioners with the management of non-narcotic medications.
- Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Registry eligible with A.R.R.T. for no more than eighteen months.
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
- Acute care experience preferred.
- Current BLS.
