Job Summary

Global Force USA is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams on patients in specialized areas such as mammography, computed tomography, and special procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic exams on patients using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Use computer programs to analyze and interpret imaging data.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of imaging protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • State of Nevada License in Radiology.
  • Valid American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Registered in Radiography.
  • National Certification in specialty areas such as Computed Tomography or Angiography.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid State of Nevada License in Radiology.
  • Valid American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Registered in Computed Tomography.
  • Previous 3 (three) years experience in performing CT exams in a Trauma setting.
  • CT interventional exams on patients.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of procedures and protocols associated with the area of assignment.
  • Knowledge of specialized equipment used in the area of assignment.
  • Knowledge of radiography protocols and procedures.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control measures.
  • Knowledge of personal computers.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body.
  • Knowledge of contrast application and contrast reaction symptoms.
  • Knowledge of venipuncture techniques.
  • Knowledge of department and hospital safety practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of patient rights.
  • Knowledge of age-specific patient care practices.
  • Knowledge of infection control policies and practices.
  • Knowledge of handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
  • Skill in utilizing computers and specialized application software for scanning and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Skill in utilizing specialized equipment and techniques for diagnostic evaluation.
  • Skill in applying aseptic techniques.
  • Skill in positioning patients properly to maximize results.
  • Skill in communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties.
  • Skill in efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Mobility to work in a typical clinical setting and use standard equipment.
  • Stamina to remain standing and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Vision to read printed materials and VDT screens.
  • Hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone.
  • Strength and agility to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
