Job Summary

Security Installer IV

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Installer IV to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our security solutions team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of complex integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and digital recorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure security systems, including access control, CCTV, and digital recorders, in customer locations.
  • Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Configure IP addresses, subnet masks, and gateways on customer networks.
  • Provide desktop support for customers and JCI, including installation and configuration of software and hardware.
  • Configure servers and workstations, and set up domain credentials, IP addresses, and remote desktop.
  • Perform system checks to ensure proper operation.
  • Knowledge of computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, as well as CCTV and access control systems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work, paying close attention to details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain coordinated working relationships.
  • Ability to analyze information and work independently to complete installation jobs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, with an Associate Degree or 2-year technical school program preferred.
  • Industry-recognized apprentice training program may be substituted for formal education requirement.
  • Significant background (min 3 years experience) in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
  • Significant background (min 3 years experience) in Access Control Systems.
  • Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems.
  • Experience with IP addressable security devices (min 2 years).
  • Must be computer literate, including advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
  • Must be able to operate a company truck with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient with all aspects and operation of ADT A.I. core card access, CCTV systems.
