In this role, you will deliver direct patient support under the guidance of a Registered Nurse in a compassionate and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with medical procedures as directed by physicians and supervised by nursing staff.
  • Support patients with personal care, daily living activities, and safe transfers.
  • Document and report any significant changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the nursing team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for patients.
  • Ensure thorough and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
  • Communicate any changes in patient conditions to the physician as necessary.
  • Perform basic clinical mathematics and follow both oral and written instructions effectively.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be certified and registered with the State of Ohio Nurse's Aide Registry (STNA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • For field staff, a valid Ohio Driver's license and proof of automobile insurance are required.
  • Preferred: Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse Assistant Certification (CHPNA).

Work Environment:

This role demands critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting. The position involves physical activities, including the ability to lift and move patients safely.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to ambulate, climb stairs, and assist in patient mobility.
  • Medium Work: Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.

Personal Protective Equipment: Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
