Job Description

Lumos & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Public Works Project Manager to lead our team of design professionals in Boise, Idaho. This position requires a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Idaho or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in public works and land development, with a demonstrated ability to serve in a responsible charge capacity for projects. They will also have strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in public forums and interpersonal communication with team members and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, oversee, and direct the project design team during the execution of projects in responsible charge.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibility to staff.
  • Provide technical review (QA/QC) of projects.
  • Serve as the primary contact with clients.
  • Provide leadership in the development of new business and promote repeat and referral business.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, and promotional materials.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University with an emphasis in Civil Engineering.
  • 8+ years of progressive civil engineering and management experience.
  • Idaho P.E. license, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
  • Experience working in and managing a team of technical staff in multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including public/client presentations.
  • Excellent technical writing.
  • Ability to provide sound solutions, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and conduct multi-tasking efforts.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and civil design software is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record with 3 or less demerit points.
