Project Engineer - TFS

Exyte Central Europe GmbH is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the management and administration of construction project activities on process piping scopes. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and providing detailed information to the field on large construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Prepare accurate and timely project documentation, such as submittals and RFIs, and maintain associated tracking logs.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing back-up documentation for change order requests.
  • Support the Project Team in completing project close-out documents, including turnover packages, as-builts, and O&M manuals.
  • Distribute contract documents to downstream subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and final requirement documentation.
  • Schedule construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, architects, and owners.
  • Take accurate meeting minutes and distribute them timely.
  • Attend Owner/Architect pre-bid, project, and closeout meetings as specified by the Project Manager.
  • Assist in purchasing, expediting, and receiving materials and equipment for the project.
  • Maintain good customer relations with the Owner, Architects, Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and public officials.
  • Maintain good relationships with field Supervisors and the workforce.
  • Assist in preparing, issuing, and receiving bid packages.
  • Manage the tracking, reproduction, and distribution of all drawings, specifications, and sketches and revisions.
  • Attend and participate in construction and other meetings as required, taking and issuing meeting minutes as required.
  • Create, update, and maintain project controls that track the status of individual projects or task orders, changes to projects or task orders, RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Assist the Project Team in scheduling and executing the Design/BIM Process.
  • Manage or support the change management process, including updating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtaining pricing, developing estimates and proposals, writing change orders, and other related activities.
  • Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction projects, preferably in semi and/or pharmaceutical type projects.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand drawings and specifications, contract documents, materials, means, and methods.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, estimating, construction costs, scheduling, and purchasing.
