Position Overview

The Sales Finance team at Danone collaborates with various departments to ensure the company meets its growth and profitability objectives.

As a member of our Finance team, you will serve as a key link between our headquarters and the Sales Finance divisions, as well as the business unit finance teams and trade accounting organization, facilitating the rolling forecast process and monthly closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Acting as an internal authority on the Rolling Forecast (RF) and monthly closing processes, offering guidance and establishing realistic deadlines for Divisional Sales Finance teams.
  • Managing relationships and communications with business unit finance teams, delivering Gross to Net P&L analysis, including Risks and Opportunities (R&Os).
  • Overseeing the Top line balance sheet and conducting monthly reviews with Trade Accounting.
  • Serving as a liaison between Finance and Trade Accounting, preparing all necessary manual journal entries.
  • Conducting Vol/Mix/Price analysis following the GPS and monthly close, along with variance analysis compared to prior rolling forecasts and previous years.
  • Leading the oversight of total trade expenditure with sales divisions to ensure accurate promotion planning.
  • Collaborating with Demand Planning teams during the forecasting process, facilitating discussions and bridging gaps between Sales Divisions and Demand Planning.
  • Maintaining and publishing reports on Balance Sheet, Compliance, Overspend, and Customer and Channel metrics using the company’s global tools.
  • Utilizing systems such as Kantar and Tagetik.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field; an MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with trade systems, particularly SAP and/or Essbase, with a preference for SAP.
  • Strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and strong skills in MS PowerPoint.
  • The ability to think independently and influence decision-making processes.
  • A knack for identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies.
  • The capability to work collaboratively across all departments and management levels within the organization.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $92,000, commensurate with experience. Danone North America also offers a performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
