Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of care
* Provide administrative and clinical leadership to nursing staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment
* Maintain a deep understanding of current nursing practices and standards
* Orient new employees to our team, ensuring a seamless transition
* Monitor staffing hours and collaborate with the Scheduler to ensure optimal resource allocation
* Administer guidance, support, and performance evaluations to team members
* Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing department's quality assurance program
* Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned with state and federal regulations and nursing standards
* Serve as a liaison with other departments, guests, families, and healthcare providers
* Step in as acting Director of Nursing in the absence of the DON
* Coach staff participating in succession development plans and adhere to affirmative action requirements
* Promote the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect, and Justice
Qualifications:
* Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing
* Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and general office equipment
* Management experience in nursing preferred
* Experience in a long-term care setting preferred
