Position Overview:
As a key member of the Air Education and Training Command, the primary responsibility of this role is to act as a dedicated advocate for individuals affected by sexual assault and harassment. This position focuses on providing essential support to military personnel, civilian employees, and their dependents throughout the entirety of their cases.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment Victim Advocate at the installation level.
2. Maintain ongoing support and follow-up communication with victims, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance throughout the case lifecycle.
3. Collaborate with the installation Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) to design and implement comprehensive training programs addressing sexual assault and harassment.
4. Represent the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program in interactions with both military and civilian organizations.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Background:
Possess a degree in behavioral or social sciences, or a related field. Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience demonstrating knowledge in these areas may be acceptable.

Experience Requirements:
Applicants should have at least one year of specialized experience at a comparable level, which includes:
1. Applying a broad understanding of social science principles related to victim advocacy and the prevention of sexual misconduct.
2. Familiarity with laws and regulations governing sexual assault and harassment, particularly within the military context.
3. Knowledge of social service delivery systems and methods pertinent to victim support.
4. Skills in training and educational techniques for effective program delivery.
5. Ability to engage with individuals in sensitive situations, fostering effective relationships to provide necessary support.

Skills and Competencies:
Candidates will be evaluated based on their proficiency in:
1. Knowledge of social work principles and victim advocacy.
2. Understanding of relevant laws and military policies.
3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in challenging circumstances.
4. Crisis intervention techniques and situational assessment capabilities.

Experience gained through volunteer work is also considered valuable and can contribute to the overall qualifications for this role.
