Position Summary:


The Sales Account Manager will be an integral member of the Foodservice Sales team, reporting directly to a Director of Sales or Foodservice Sales Executive. This role focuses on nurturing relationships and expanding business with designated distributor and operator accounts.

The individual will be responsible for establishing connections, delivering customer solutions, promoting additional products, negotiating pricing and programs, and aligning efforts with market strategies.

This position requires collaboration across various business units and trade teams to foster new business opportunities, safeguard existing accounts, and develop a competitive edge while achieving sales volume and mix targets.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Build and maintain professional relationships by identifying and pursuing new and existing accounts within the designated market to meet business goals.

2. Collect, organize, and sustain critical insights for all assigned accounts, including key contacts, communication history, business size, product risks and opportunities, competitive landscape, and potential challenges.

3. Utilize the CRM tool to monitor and report progress, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed.

4. Implement and oversee all strategic initiatives.

5. Work collaboratively with Sales Development Business Units and Trade teams to achieve or surpass sales objectives by managing marketing initiatives, expense oversight, and resolution of deductions as necessary.

6. Provide sales support for market events, meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, and local trade exhibitions.

7. Meet assigned volume targets and execute pricing strategies effectively within the market. Manage expenditures and product mix.

8. Oversee Travel and Expense Budget.

9. Perform additional duties as required.



Qualifications:

Experience:
A minimum of 2-5 years of external sales experience in Food Service, Manufacturing, or Distributor Sales.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Special Skills:
Proficient in strategic thinking, planning, negotiation, motivational leadership, and conflict resolution; capable of executing event planning.

Computer Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Travel Requirement:
20-30%
