Job Summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead our data visualization efforts and develop dashboards using Tableau. As a key member of our team, you will analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and present findings to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Performance Analysis: Perform in-depth system performance and interoperability analyses for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) system-wide flight tests, ground tests, and simulation-based testing.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Utilize existing and off-the-shelf tools to process multiple data sources for MDS performance analysis and visualization.
  • Test Analysis Planning: Generate and present test analysis planning documentation, test readiness briefs, quick-look reports, and detailed analysis reports to MDA leadership.
  • End-to-End Analysis: Support the end-to-end analysis process, including ETL, scripting, dashboard development, and storyboarding to characterize system performance, identify anomalies, and communicate results effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics, or another technical discipline and 5+ years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience with Tableau is required. Experience with Alteryx, SQL, Python, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools is desired.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and develop storyboards for clearly presenting findings and trends to senior leadership. Curiosity for knowledge and understanding, self-initiative, leadership, and customer interface skills are essential.
  • Security Clearance: A minimum Secret level security clearance is required to access classified information.
