Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for exams, document and update medical histories, and ensure all necessary information is available for healthcare providers.
  • Vital Signs and Phlebotomy: Take vital signs, including temperature, weight, height, and blood pressure, and perform phlebotomy and EKG procedures as needed.
  • Procedure Room Support: Assist Echo technicians in the procedure room, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Scheduling and Record-Keeping: Organize and schedule appointments, update and file medical records, and verify patient insurance eligibility.
  • Correspondence and Communication: Produce and distribute correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms, and arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services as needed.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Clean exam rooms and medical instruments, and maintain supplies in exam rooms and phlebotomy and lab areas.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Medical Scribe Certification or medical background required; Chinese or Spanish knowledge a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work, social perceptiveness, and strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
