Job Summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) is a leading company in the Semiconductor industry, known for its innovative Integrated Power Semiconductors and Systems Power delivery architectures. We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Applications Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design, field application, product, and marketing teams to define new analog and mixed-signal IC/SOC products.
  • Develop and maintain IC/SOC product lab evaluation boards and test systems, including schematic and layout design, and lab evaluation system development.
  • Conduct IC/SOC product lab evaluation testing, measurement, and debug, working closely with design and test teams.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IC/SOC product production test systems, working with design, test, and product teams.
  • Provide technical support for IC system-level modeling in application environments and IC product modeling for customer use, working with design engineers, system engineers, and field application engineers.
  • Collaborate with the field application team to resolve application issues and problems.
  • Generate product datasheets, application notes, and other technical documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 5+ years of experience in application engineering for analog and mixed-signal IC/SOC development.
  • Strong experience in board-level circuit design, including schematic capture and layout design, and PCB board-level parasitic extraction and simulation/analysis.
  • Proficiency in analog/mixed-signal IC laboratory equipment and automation tools, such as LabVIEW, and experience in data acquisition and analysis.
  • Experience with hardware implementation and software programming of FPGA/MCU in application environments.
  • System-level modeling, simulation, and verification using MATLAB and other tools is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in X-Ray imaging equipment or module development is a plus.
  • Prior experience with data converter application and test is a plus.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $135,000 - $170,000.
