General Job Overview:
Under the guidance of the Sales Manager and with daily oversight from designated Project Manager(s), this role is pivotal in orchestrating all technical operations on assigned projects.
This position is essential for fostering effective communication and collaboration among all disciplines and project team members, including external clients and suppliers.
In this capacity, you will engage in dynamic, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects while enhancing your expertise in estimating, scheduling, and design within the design-build construction framework.

Key Responsibilities:
Proficiently assemble all components of an estimate and prepare final proposals for both prime contract bids and subcontract bids through design/build and plan/spec delivery methods.
Comprehensive understanding of job task sequencing and critical timeline scheduling.
Ability to adapt and reprioritize tasks in a rapidly changing schedule.
Receive and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
Analyze labor and apply factors for varying conditions.
Address and resolve complex inquiries and challenges as necessary.
Utilizing the plan/spec delivery method, the Project Engineer must be adept at analyzing project plans to determine material and labor costs, identify subcontractor scope, and comprehend trade specifications and relevant general conditions of a project manual.
The design/build delivery method will necessitate the Project Engineer to conceptualize the scope by reviewing project requirements, conducting site visits, collaborating with internal and external engineers, and interpreting basic sketches to establish a cost basis.Work closely with Project Management to keep them updated on all issues impacting project timelines and budgets.
Provide interpretation of plans and specifications.
Compile comprehensive submittal packages and other necessary project documentation.
Participate in the selection and hiring of subcontractors and vendors.
Assist the Project Manager with take-off, estimating, change directive pricing, job cost forecasting, billings, close-out documentation, prospecting, and new bid support.
Support the Project Manager in drafting proposals, letters, memos, subcontracts, change orders, and other documents related to project execution.Utilize ACCO standard Engineering technologies, providing technical support for construction efforts, including planning and design; interpretation of the design; value engineering and alternative solution reviews, etc.
Collaborate with the Purchasing Department regarding scope, pricing, submittals, and delivery for purchased items. Coordinate installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders.Manage job progress on-site as required, leveraging your design expertise in a hands-on capacity to address emergent operational and installation challenges.
Oversee and/or process daily administrative tasks (i.e., Document Control, RFIs, Dailies, POs, MOPs, submittals, procurement logs, etc.) as directed by the Project Manager.
Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget. Plan the work, track labor, monitor material and deliveries, and assess project costs at completion.Identify potential issues and assist the Project Manager in driving solutions to resolution.
Maintain, develop, and nurture strong relationships with clients, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade personnel by:
Attending job kick-off, job progress, foreman, and OAC meetings;
Interfacing with installers, suppliers, and subcontractors to provide information, direction, and detailed instructions; and
Managing subcontractors to meet project expectations.
Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or upper management.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A concentration in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or
5-10 years of industry experience or a combination of experience and education.
High integrity, business ethics, and professionalism.

Hours:
This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.
Travel:
As required from time to time to regional branch offices and/or project/customer site(s).
Competitive Wages:
$42.96 to $53.70 per hour. Please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
