About the Role

VIZIO is seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to drive the delivery of valuable features on time and within scope. This is a key role in our Technical Project Management team, responsible for building relationships with product teams, software engineering teams, and our EPMO group to foster clear and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate Effectively: Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure clear and effective communication.
  • Organize and Plan: Help engineering teams provide consistent story points, timelines, and delivery schedules that can be shared with stakeholders.
  • Lead and Coordinate: Be a point of contact for inbound and outbound communications on status, change requests, blockers, deployments, and coordinate delivery timelines between product and engineering.
  • Predict and Mitigate Risks: Identify risks, blockers, and other potential issues and communicate them efficiently to enable fast resolution.
  • Deliver Results: Assist with quarterly roadmap planning, validate, deploy, and monitor features, and conduct data analysis to deliver insights for Engineering Managers on team velocity and other metrics.
About You
  • Education and Experience: BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or relevant job experience, 1-3 years of project management in software development.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Outstanding communication skills, sound technical foundation, self-starting, hard-working, and organized, knowledge of software engineering methodologies, dependencies, common SDLCs, and Atlassian/PM software experience.
