Job Title: Solar Operations Technician

Canadian Solar Inc. is seeking a skilled Solar Operations Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar farms and rooftop projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of project equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Work with sub-contractors and other groups to improve system performance, drive product quality, and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Assist with project commissioning and testing.
  • Attend and participate in all assigned trainings in safety, environmental, and other areas as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of hands-on experience in field work.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • NABCEP Certification is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, positive team attitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Ability to effectively navigate through and complete work orders as well as administrative records in a CMMS system.
