Job Overview

Position Title: Material Handler

Shift: 1st Shift 7am - 3pm, Monday through Friday with paid breaks

Compensation: $18/Hour

Position Summary:

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in managing the flow of raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse. This role involves unloading deliveries, transporting items using various equipment, and ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and stored.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process job orders, sales orders, and purchase orders in accordance with established protocols and verbal directives.
  • Efficiently transport skids from quality assurance to storage areas, optimizing space utilization.
  • Consolidate and secure products on pallets, ensuring proper labeling and staging for production.
  • Maintain organized stock levels, minimizing clutter in aisles and staging zones.
  • Complete necessary documentation and align it with materials designated for production.
  • Utilize computer systems and scanning devices to manage stock transfers, job issuance, and label printing.
  • Operate pallet jacks and lift trucks to manage inventory within the warehouse.
  • Set up and program both manual and automated material cutters as required.
  • Perform regular housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading scales and rulers, with the ability to complete relevant paperwork.
  • Familiarity with computer systems for data entry and information retrieval.
  • Capability to match product identifiers with corresponding work orders.
  • Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks and tow motors is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and coordination for operating various warehouse equipment.
