Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Operations Director to lead our team in planning, coordinating, and integrating services to optimize performance. Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in the planning and integration of services to optimize performance.
- Assist site President and department heads in directing work activities, establishing system control procedures, and managing leadership and staff performance.
- Review and ensure site-based operating, administrative, and personnel policies and procedures, and oversee implementation and compliance.
- Establish and maintain effective communication within the site, system, and core functional areas to ensure alignment and performance standards are in place.
- Work with community relations and other key system stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships with the community and external stakeholders.
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and monitor site-based projects, key deliverables, and construction progress against accepted timetables.
- Establish and maintain liaison with hospital President and members of the medical staff to foster and maintain effective and productive working relationships.
- Manage contracts, vendor, and system-based services as appropriate and necessary.
- Assist system and site leadership in the development and implementation of Sinai Health System's strategic plan and operational programs.
- Ensure assigned functions are in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and accrediting agency requirements; initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership position.
- Previous experience working directly with C-Suite executives and physicians.
- A proven track record as a leader of a healthcare organization.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and a proven background successfully leading teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience giving presentations to all levels of a corporation.
- Strong customer service and drive to improve.
- Strong financial, analytical, and cost control skills.
- Leadership and management skills necessary to work effectively within a system, influence results, motivate individuals and teams, and resolve problems in a diplomatic professional manner.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to operate in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
- Ability to sustain interruption in workflow and instantaneous changes in priorities to respond to crisis situations involving patients, plant, procedures, or inspections.
