Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting pharmacy operations, and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers and patients to ensure a positive experience
  • Assist in the practice of pharmacy, under the supervision of a pharmacist, and review and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems and filling prescriptions
  • Support the development of strong relationships with customers and healthcare providers
  • Lead inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals
  • Assist in the coordination of clinical services, including blood/urine sample collection and labeling
  • Support the execution of the Pickup program and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
  • Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the correct use of processes and tools
Requirements
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Prefer basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications)
  • Prefer basic level PC skills (starting and shutting down computer, using mouse to point and click, etc.)
