We are currently inviting applications for both part-time and full-time faculty roles within our Nursing department, specifically for the LPN program. We seek passionate educators who are dedicated to teaching excellence, scholarly pursuits, and community service.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Director of the School of Nursing, the faculty member will be responsible for delivering didactic instruction as required. The ideal candidate should possess the capability to teach across various subjects, with a preference for specialization in a relevant area. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Engaging in scholarly research and activities
  • Contributing to School, University, and community initiatives
  • Advising students and participating in curriculum development and program assessment
  • Taking part in commencement ceremonies and other significant university events
  • Engaging in additional university and community service activities that align with our mission
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing, or a BSN with a commitment to obtain an MSN within four years
  • Active RN License in Connecticut (or eligibility for licensure)
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a practicing registered nurse
  • At least two to three years of recent teaching experience in a university nursing program
  • Experience in program and curriculum design
  • Awareness of current trends and practices in nursing education
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
  • Capability to work with diverse populations
