Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to provide a learning experience in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab using a variety of teaching methods. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive educational climate, meeting course and school-wide student performance goals, and managing student behavior.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to keep students motivated and focused.
- Establish clear objectives for all learning activities and communicate effectively with students.
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals by providing individualized support and feedback.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom/online and identify students who may be at risk of not succeeding.
- Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling by tutoring and mentoring students as needed.
- Grade tests and projects, maintain grade books, and track attendance.
- Participate in ongoing conferences, seminars, and training sessions to stay current with best practices in education.
- Masters degree or higher in a related program of study from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area.
- A minimum of three years of work experience as an educator preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
