Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to provide a learning experience in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab using a variety of teaching methods. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive educational climate, meeting course and school-wide student performance goals, and managing student behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to keep students motivated and focused.
  • Establish clear objectives for all learning activities and communicate effectively with students.
  • Meet course and school-wide student performance goals by providing individualized support and feedback.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom/online and identify students who may be at risk of not succeeding.
  • Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling by tutoring and mentoring students as needed.
  • Grade tests and projects, maintain grade books, and track attendance.
  • Participate in ongoing conferences, seminars, and training sessions to stay current with best practices in education.
Requirements
  • Masters degree or higher in a related program of study from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area.
  • A minimum of three years of work experience as an educator preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
