Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Design and implement a range of recreational programs and activities that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation for our residents.
- Activity Planning: Plan and coordinate special events, outings, and activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
- Assessment and Review: Review activity assessments for all residents to ensure that their needs are being met and that our programs are effective.
- Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to a team of activity staff, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver high-quality programs and activities.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure that our programs are meeting the needs of our residents and that we are providing excellent care.
- Experience: 2 years of experience as an Activities Director in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
- Certification: ADC (Activities Director Certification) required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field).
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong leadership and supervisory skills.
