POSITION SUMMARY:

Full Time - Days (8a-5p)

The Staffing Coordinator LPN is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of educational initiatives for facility personnel, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the established policies and procedures of the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To successfully perform this role, the individual must complete essential functions effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions include, but are not limited to:
  • Assess staffing requirements and develop work schedules.
  • Generate daily staffing reports, evaluate employee performance, and submit findings to management.
  • Design, coordinate, and implement educational programs and in-services based on identified priorities.
  • Conduct a 75-hour training program for the mandated certified nursing aides training.
  • Facilitate general orientation for all new hires.
  • Arrange post-offer examinations, agility tests, and other assessments for new employees.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for the Administrator regarding the in-service department's operations.
  • Participate in on-call assignments as needed.
  • Review, approve, and process PTO requests.
  • Validate employee time sheets.
  • Complete various reports related to staffing consistency and other metrics.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly and quarterly meetings focused on infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain accurate records of in-service attendance and relevant documentation, such as license and certification renewal dates.
  • Execute emergency procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Identify, intervene, and report accidents and incidents promptly.
  • Engage in surveys conducted by authorized government agencies.
  • Maintain records of patient incidents and provide training to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Audit documentation for errors or inconsistencies, making necessary corrections or providing justifications for unmade corrections.
  • Complete additional medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting as required.
  • Verify the validity of personnel licensure and certification to meet state and/or federal standards.
  • Adhere to established universal precautions and isolation protocols.
  • Foster an environment of optimism, warmth, and attentiveness to patients' personal and healthcare needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Work Experience:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other healthcare setting.
  • Experience in Case/Utilization Management.
Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Possession of an LPN License in the state of employment.
  • Current LPN certification in the State of Tennessee.
  • CPR Certification.
Other Requirements:
  • This position may require unscheduled overtime and weekend work.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential.
  • Travel may be necessary.
Physical Requirements:
  • This role may involve occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
SIGN-ON BONUS TERMS:
  • Available for Full-Time positions only.
  • Paid out in two installments: half at 90 days and the remaining at 180 days of employment.
  • New employees only; current and rehires are not eligible.
