Job Summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our outpatient clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule intake appointments and verify patient information
  • Check in patients, escort them to and from the waiting room, and interview them to gather vital signs and medical history
  • Assist Medical Director/Program Physician/Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes and as needed
  • Collect blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory testing
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Perform secretarial duties, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records
  • Triage and manage phone contacts, fax messages, and other patient inquiries
  • File lab results and distribute them to counselors
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and in-service trainings
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration
  • Phlebotomy skills and CPR/BCLS certification
  • Familiarity with State Regulations, DEA regulations, and TJC and/or CARF Accreditation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software
  • Ability to establish a positive rapport with patients and demonstrate a non-judgmental attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder population
