Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Navigator to join our team at Healogics. As a Patient Navigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient wound care centers. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate patient care, manage front office functions, and provide exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census
  • Participate in staff meetings to support key functions within the Center
  • Greet patients and other visitors, answer and route calls to appropriate staff
  • Maintain all patient communication needs, including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders
  • Obtain and verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services
  • Collect and enter patient charges in databases
  • Verify and reconcile charges as directed, prepare monthly patient survey data, and transmit to providers
  • Assemble new patient charts, maintain and file existing patient charts, and spot check charts for data completeness and signatures
  • Coordinate/schedule ancillary testing with other hospital departments
  • Arrange for patient transportation as needed
  • Maintain office equipment and supplies as needed, and medical supplies as directed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum of Two (2) or more years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; Prior medical coding experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good customer, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute (wpm)
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to work with others and in a team environment
Work Environment

This position is located in a patient care environment, and the ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $23.01 per hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography, as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
