Job Title: On Call- Direct Support Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to reach their goals and live a Life Without Limits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage residents in activities that promote their independence and well-being.
  • Provide transportation and supervision to ensure residents' safety and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, problems, and needs of residents.
  • Ensure residents' personal hygiene and grooming needs are met.
  • Use proper body mechanics to lift, move, and position residents, and provide prescribed exercises and physical care.
  • Inspect homes to ensure safety requirements are met and correct deficiencies or report them to the supervisor.
  • Conduct evacuation drills and follow emergency procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize appliances, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Cook and prepare meals.
  • Report any equipment problems to the supervisor.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen, and telephones daily.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Uphold confidentiality requirements and support clients' rights.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lb with or without reasonable accommodations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and moving residents.
