Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Patient Financial Counselor/Patient Medical Collections Specialist to join our team at AMSURG Citrus Anesthesia LLC. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, collecting patient identification cards and insurance information, updating patient accounts, collecting copayments and deductibles, and recording payments in the billing system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors, collecting patient identification cards and insurance information
  • Updating patient accounts, collecting copayments and deductibles
  • Recording payments in the billing system
  • Performing a variety of administrative duties
  • Working cooperatively with staff and physicians

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience (preferably 2 years in an Ambulatory Surgery Center)
  • Experience in Endoscopy/Multi-specialty/Ophthalmology/ASC
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language
  • Strong ethical and moral character references
  • Excellent telephone and basic computer skills
