Position Title: Accountant

Position Overview: Axis Automation, a dynamic provider of automated solutions, is looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute month-end journal entries efficiently.
  • Manage prepaids, fixed assets, and commission schedules with precision.
  • Conduct monthly credit card reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are well-supported.
  • Prepare project cost estimate worksheets for the project management team.
  • Process weekly payroll journal entries accurately.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable tasks such as generating customer invoices, supporting collection efforts, and recording customer payments.
  • Compile weekly check runs for management review.
  • Collaborate on various accounting projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Google Suite; ERP experience is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Professional and effective communication skills.
Compensation: Competitive wage range of $55k-70k annually, commensurate with experience.
