Position Summary

This role is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the facilities under our protection. Our Security Specialists play a crucial role in fulfilling our mission to 'service, secure, and care for the people and businesses in our communities.' They serve as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and violations of client policies, while identifying and reporting any suspicious or unsafe behaviors that may pose a risk to property, clients, guests, or employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality security services to safeguard individuals and property.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective gear and equipment.
  • Document and report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual incidents both verbally and in writing.
  • Uphold order and enforce site regulations for personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarms; report any safety concerns or security breaches promptly.
  • Stay informed and familiar with site-specific operational manuals and directives.
  • Comply with all state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for security personnel.
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with client staff and visitors.
  • Assist guests and employees with inquiries; provide a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Conduct patrols of the facility on foot or by vehicle.
  • May be required to support multiple clients across various locations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; candidates must be at least 21 years old.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Guard License as mandated by state law; training is provided for those without a license.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug/alcohol testing is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize assignments.
  • Capable of handling both routine and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Professional demeanor with strong judgment and discretion; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with personnel and the public.
  • Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative technology at client sites.
  • Highly organized with a strong commitment to compliance and integrity.
  • Able to prepare reports and comprehend operational procedures and instructions.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Regularly required to use hands, stand, sit, and communicate verbally.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and reach with both hands; may occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor conditions.
  • Must effectively manage stress and adapt to changing situations.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
