Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with construction teams to establish safe traffic flow around work sites, adhering to safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Direct traffic using Department of Transportation regulations and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead, utilizing effective communication skills.
  • Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones, including warning signs, traffic cones, and other warning devices, as assigned.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, navigating hazardous equipment and moving vehicular traffic while maintaining a safe working distance.
  • Operate company vehicles to and from job sites in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, wearing proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Perform daily inspections and testing of assigned tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in various temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Capacity to remain in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 55 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds continuously.
  • Physical capability to perform all flagging duties.
  • Sufficient eyesight to judge distances and coordination to use appropriate equipment and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including overtime, during holidays, emergencies, and weekends as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
  • Valid Driver's License.
