Job Summary

The Employee Health Nursing Assistant II is an integral part of our team, operating under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. This role participates in a variety of clinical and clerical functions to ensure the efficient functioning of the clinic and a welcoming and positive experience for our employees/patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration of patients, assisting with triage, collecting co-pays, maintaining clinic schedules, rooming patients, phlebotomy, wound dressing, and assisting with specialty clinics such as flu or Fit Testing.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant II required.
  • Previous experience in Urgent Care or Out-Patient setting strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with billing and/or collecting co-payments strongly preferred.
  • Certified as a NAII in the State of North Carolina.
  • BCLS Certification.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member, willingness to learn and grow.
  • Displays calm in acute stressful situations. Proficient with computers.
Work Environment

Occasionally exposed to: Infectious diseases, chemicals, BBP requiring the use of PPE, airborne pathogens. May experience stressful work periods with high volumes of patients.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to engage in the following physical activities on a daily basis: Periods of standing, moving stretchers, carts and equipment, use of computer/keyboarding.
