POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for dependable apartment custodians and junior technicians to manage the daily operations of our client's residential buildings. Your role will involve ensuring the cleanliness and visual appeal of our outdoor spaces, communal areas, and providing support to the maintenance team. Positions available include Direct Hire, Temp to Hire, Full-Time, and Part-Time options.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in groundskeeping or landscaping, a meticulous eye for detail, and a dedication to fostering a safe and pleasant environment for our residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out regular grounds maintenance tasks, such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, watering plants, and caring for flower beds.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of walkways, parking lots, and shared spaces, including litter collection, sweeping, and debris removal.
  • Perform routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and landscaping requirements.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of irrigation systems and outdoor lighting.
  • Work alongside the maintenance team to address repair needs and ensure the property is well-maintained.
  • Communicate with property management regarding landscaping and maintenance requirements and promptly report any issues.
  • Keep track of landscaping supplies and equipment, notifying management when restocking is necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment for residents and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in landscaping or horticulture is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in groundskeeping or landscaping, with knowledge of plant care, lawn upkeep, and general outdoor maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the operation and care of landscaping tools, such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, effectively managing time and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining an attractive landscape.
  • Good physical endurance and the capacity to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
