Job Summary:
Rapid Response Monitoring is seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to join our team. As a GIS Specialist, you will work closely with our Licensing & Permitting Department to maintain our proprietary GIS database. Your responsibilities will include procuring, analyzing, and modifying geographic data within the United States and Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and update existing GIS maps within our database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Research customer accounts and information within our proprietary system.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to identify solutions for tagging new locations.
- Collaborate with our Permit Coordinator Team to identify and audit geographic areas requiring updated maps.
- Communicate changes in GIS data to internal teams and customers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet weekly metrics.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent military experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain security licenses in all required states.
- Superior attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Open Street Maps, JOSM, or similar GIS software.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
