Job Title: GIS Specialist

Job Summary:

Rapid Response Monitoring is seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to join our team. As a GIS Specialist, you will work closely with our Licensing & Permitting Department to maintain our proprietary GIS database. Your responsibilities will include procuring, analyzing, and modifying geographic data within the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update existing GIS maps within our database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Research customer accounts and information within our proprietary system.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to identify solutions for tagging new locations.
  • Collaborate with our Permit Coordinator Team to identify and audit geographic areas requiring updated maps.
  • Communicate changes in GIS data to internal teams and customers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet weekly metrics.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent military experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain security licenses in all required states.
  • Superior attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with Open Street Maps, JOSM, or similar GIS software.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
