The Logistics Operations Leader is essential in enhancing our operational processes, ensuring that our deliveries are executed with precision and meet the expectations of our valued customers. This role involves supporting the owner/manager in the seamless execution of daily operations within our facility, with an emphasis on data oversight, customer engagement, and logistical management.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Oversight

  • Utilize our management software to oversee customer orders, monitor product availability, and update our online marketplace.
  • Assist in inventory management and maintain precise records.
  • Generate reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Organize and maintain filing systems and perform basic bookkeeping tasks (on-the-job training provided).
  • Update customer information, product details, pricing, and farmer profiles regularly.

Customer Engagement

  • Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Address and resolve customer issues and complaints effectively.
  • Provide technical support to assist customers in managing their online accounts and subscriptions.
  • Support the manager by following up on wholesale account leads and processing weekly orders.

Logistical Management

  • Coordinate a small team of 3 to 5 employees.
  • Oversee the pulling and packing of orders, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
  • Ensure timely departures for delivery routes.
  • Implement strategies to foster a cohesive and positive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with produce, local food systems, or agriculture is preferred (on-the-job training available).
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to work independently and complete daily tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to assist as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Basic arithmetic skills and comfort with numbers.
  • Experience with software such as Excel, Outlook, Quickbooks, and data management systems is a significant advantage.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, year-round position with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts.

Compensation:

Starting salary ranges from $45,670 to $48,000 annually, with benefits including a weekly Farm Share subscription, a discount on products, paid time off, and sick leave.
