We are currently in search of a dependable and safety-oriented Logistics Equipment Operator. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to lift weights of up to 40lbs, demonstrate effective communication skills, and adapt to shifting deadlines, which are crucial for success in this position.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties include:
- Order Fulfillment: This involves interpreting the picking ticket, operating a forklift, and/or manually retrieving items from equipment, bins, or racks, as well as securing items for transport.
- Equipment Inspection: Upon return of items, conduct a thorough count and inspection of each piece, documenting any damages or shortages.
- Receiving Deliveries: Unload shipments and return items to the warehouse or yard, either manually or with a forklift.
- Inventory Organization: Sort and arrange items on shelves, in bins, or on racks according to company specifications.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that company vehicles and equipment are kept clean and free of debris.
- Yard Management: Maintain the yard in an orderly condition at all times, regardless of weather, and oversee activities with yard personnel.
- Inventory Audits: Assist in coordinating physical and cycle counts.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned or requested.
This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Compensation starts at $19-$20 per hour, based on experience.
Minimum Qualifications- Proven experience operating a forklift.
- Must be reliable and possess dependable transportation.
- Ability to lift 30-40lbs.
- Background checks will be conducted.
