Position Overview: TWE is seeking qualified candidates for the Driller's Assistant position in the Field Services Division located in Texas City, Texas. This role is pivotal in the assessment and examination of various construction materials, including soils and concrete. We encourage applications from individuals with varying levels of experience, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Driller in executing field operations, including drilling and sampling for geotechnical and environmental assessments.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks as directed by the Driller, Project Coordinator, or Project Manager.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of TWE's equipment and operational protocols.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of TWE equipment, identifying maintenance needs.
  • Support equipment and workshop maintenance as required.
  • Complete essential documentation, including daily reports and safety records.
  • Participate in safety meetings and comply with TWE and client safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including job sites and equipment.
  • Ensure timely submission of all required paperwork to the office.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Must successfully complete initial, random, and annual hair follicle drug screenings.
  • Possession of a valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Able to perform job duties in various weather conditions.
  • Capable of making adjustments and conducting equipment maintenance, including heavy lifting.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and accountability for tasks, regardless of project size.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Open to learning and contributing innovative ideas.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a TWIC card.
  • Basic Plus certification.
  • HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification.
  • Mechanically inclined.
