About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Scientist / Applied Scientist / ML Scientist to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects that will directly impact every customer across all AWS services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale machine learning systems that deliver real-world production systems at AWS scale.
  • Collaborate with the business to understand problem spaces, identify opportunities, and formulate problems.
  • Apply machine learning, data mining, statistical techniques, Generative AI, and other relevant methods to create actionable, meaningful, and scalable solutions for business problems.
  • Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of data to derive useful insights.
  • Work with software engineering teams to deliver production systems with ML models.
  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.

Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • 4+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
  • 3+ years of experience with large-scale machine learning systems, including profiling and debugging.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
