Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cardiology Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating diagnostic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate diagnostic procedures, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter monitor applications, and stress tests.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform diagnostic procedures.
  • Participate in departmental projects and initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as a technician performing diagnostic procedures, including ECGs, Holter monitor applications, and stress tests.
  • Current certification as a Certified EKG Technician (CET) or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate multiple computer systems and software applications.
