Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist to join our team at Children's National Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical and research responsibilities related to the Cardiology Echo Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms on complex patients with congenital heart disease in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Independently perform fetal echocardiograms in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize online and offline analysis systems effectively to perform analysis and strive for accuracy.
  • Record and bill all pertinent patient information for studies.
  • Participate in research activities and special projects, including volunteering to be responsible for research projects and assisting physicians and fellows with research.
Requirements
  • Minimum education: High School diploma, graduate of an approved school of Echocardiography.
  • Minimum work experience: 3 years prior cardiology experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Required skills and knowledge: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical/Cardiac Sonography (ARDMS), Registered in Pediatrics, or Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year full-time dedicated pediatric experience in an echo laboratory directed by a board-certified pediatric cardiologist.
