About the Job

Are you an Echocardiography Technologist looking for a challenging PRN opportunity? If so, Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington DC, has the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Summary

The Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiography Technologist performs 2D, M-mode, colorflow, pulsed, and continuous wave Doppler on adult patients throughout the hospital. Assists the physician with Tranesophageal, contrast, doubtamine, and stress echocardiophy. Cross trains personnel from department into echocardiography.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography procedures on adult patients
  • Assist physicians with transesophageal, contrast, dobutamine, and stress echocardiography
  • Cross train personnel from other departments into echocardiography
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a recognized AMA or AMA equivalent allied health program for diagnostic medical cardiac sonography
  • Must hold a Cardiac Registration through ARDMS
  • Vascular registration is preferred
  • Current CPR Certification is mandatory
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in Echocardiography
