LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced accounting professional for an Accountant III position. This 3-month contract role has the potential to transition into a permanent position, based in San Jose, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including financial report preparation and review, as well as various reconciliations.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with established internal controls.
  • Contribute to corporate initiatives related to process improvements and transformational projects to achieve best-in-class results.
  • Prepare journal entries and account analysis for US general ledger accounts, including prepaid expenses, cloud computing arrangements, restructuring, goodwill, and intangible assets.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Conduct monthly Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis.
  • Prepare monthly reporting schedules for management, providing commentary and noting changes from prior periods.
  • Support cross-functional teams with journal entry posting and account analysis.
  • Oversee the global account reconciliation process and conduct periodic quality reviews.
  • Conduct global accounting team training on best practices for reconciliations and other key accounting topics.
  • Design, implement, and maintain effective accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
  • Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with the accounting transformation team to build scalable and transformational processes.
  • Assist in audit activities with internal and external auditors.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting within a publicly traded company.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX 404(b) compliance.
  • Experience with global financial systems, preferably Oracle and SAP.
  • Demonstrated experience with process and system automation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of detail and quality, and adhering to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Prioritization of implementing technology and executing process improvements.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $50-$55 per hour. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan. Our associates may be eligible for paid leave, holiday pay, and other perks.
