About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the Propulsion Engineering team at Relativity Space, a company that is revolutionizing the aerospace industry with its innovative approach to additive manufacturing and launch vehicle development.

As a Senior Propulsion Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing propulsion systems for our Terran R launch vehicle. You will work closely with our team to develop test plans, execute test campaigns, and troubleshoot engine subsystems.

This role requires a strong background in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, as well as experience with test operations environments. You should be a self-starter who is always looking for ways to improve yourself and learn more about the systems that interface with yours.

About the Team

The Propulsion Engineering team at Relativity Space is responsible for designing and developing the engines that will power our Terran R launch vehicle. We are a fast-paced and dynamic team that is passionate about innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test propulsion systems for our Terran R launch vehicle
  • Develop test plans and execute test campaigns
  • Troubleshoot engine subsystems
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement new technologies and innovations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of propulsion systems into our launch vehicle
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a complex engineering system development and/or test environment
  • Experience with fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
  • Experience with test operations environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
