We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Clinic Technician to join our team at Retina Consultants of Texas. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and patients.
Responsibilities- Obtain patient history, including chief complaint, history of present illness, and current medications.
- Perform and document visual acuity, confrontational visual fields, and ocular tonometry.
- Provide compassionate patient care throughout the clinic flow.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including inventory count and prepping drugs as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in exam and procedure rooms.
- Provide backup to the ophthalmic photographer and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
- Occasionally assist physicians with laser procedures, injections, and minor procedures.
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
- One to two years' experience in ophthalmic assistance preferred.
- Valid CPR certification required.
